Signal unveils Liquid Glass design for iPhone on iOS 26

Nov 26, 2025

Signal has unveiled its completely redesigned Liquid Glass interface for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 in a video.

The video highlights the new look of the Chats, Calls, and Stories tabs, complete with smooth button animations when switching between screens.

Signal also showcases the updated chat view within the Liquid Glass design.

You can also see that the search bar in the contacts list has been moved down, and the buttons for muting, deleting, or archiving a chat have received a complete redesign. Signal also highlights the list of emoji reactions, the updated text input field, and the new way to mention someone in a group.

Finally, the video gives a glimpse of the chat settings screen, which has also been fully revamped.

The new Liquid Glass design is available in Signal version 7.86 for anyone with an iPhone running iOS 26 or an iPad running iPadOS 26. The latest version of Signal for iOS can be downloaded for free from Apple’s App Store.
