Signal Desktop update: new design for scrollbars

Nov 6, 2025

Signal Desktop has a new beta version: 7.79. What’s new in this update?

This latest version of Signal Desktop includes several bug fixes and other technical improvements. For example, improvements have been made to copying and pasting text with formatting.

The most noticeable change can be found in the scrollbars. Scrollbars have been given a new, more modern look that better matches the rest of the Signal Desktop design. The new scrollbars are also slightly wider, making scrolling a bit easier.

Finally, as in previous weeks, work has continued on the upcoming Polls feature. This feature is already well developed across all platforms, but it’s not yet known when it will be released.
