Signal has announced that Signal Desktop will soon be officially released with support for Linux ARM64 systems. This will make the popular chat app accessible on Linux computers using ARM64 processors.
The first beta version of Signal Desktop for Linux ARM64 is now available, and the developers are inviting the Signal Community to help test it. Testing the Signal Desktop release for Linux-based ARM64 devices is welcome on any Linux distribution, as the release is available in both Debian and AppImage packages.
With the Linux expansion, Signal is making the app more widely accessible, and there’s more to come. Soon, you’ll also have the option to register for Signal without a phone number.
