In BBC’s The Interview, Megha Mohan talks to Meredith Whittaker about the importance of online privacy and how Signal protects private conversations. Whittaker explains that encryption helps protect vulnerable people, although criminals can also misuse it. She argues that Signal will not compromise users’ privacy, even if that means withdrawing from a country.

Recorded in October 2026.
