No. You cannot send messages from WhatsApp to Signal, or from Signal to WhatsApp.
Although EU regulations require WhatsApp to support interoperability with other messaging apps, Signal has stated that it will not connect to WhatsApp or other Meta services due to Signal’s strict privacy and security standards.
Both Signal and WhatsApp use the Signal Protocol to encrypt message content, but Signal goes further by encrypting not only messages, but also additional data such as metadata, profile names and pictures, group names and information, contact lists, details about who you communicate with and when. WhatsApp is a commercial, closed-source service that may collect or have access to all this data. Signal, on the other hand, is a non-profit, open-source app with a strong focus on minimizing data collection and protecting user privacy.
Because of the significant differences in privacy and data protection approaches between Signal and WhatsApp, it is unlikely that interoperability between the two apps will happen in the foreseeable future.
