Signal has increased the number of chats you can pin from four to ten. As we reported back in February this year, this change was already on the horizon.
Back in February, the developers made the pinned chat limit remotely configurable. Thanks to this technical change, the limit can be increased via server configuration at Signal, without requiring an app update. This mechanism has now been used to raise the limit from 4 to 10.
We just increased the maximum number of pinned chats from 4 to 10, so you can show 6 more people how much you love what they have to say.

The new limit is available to everyone on all platforms (Android, iOS and Desktop).
Notably, WhatsApp has also recently increased the maximum number of pinned chats, but users have to pay for it. So if you want some of WhatsApp’s “premium” features for free and with more privacy, just switch to Signal.
